The
TeleMic is a compact, versatile accessory featuring an external
microphone and a telecoil. The microphone improves communication
in noisy listening situations by allowing the wearer to move the
microphone closer to the speaker. The telecoil feature of the TeleMic
picks up signals directly from hearing aid compatible telephones,
room-sized induction loops, neck-sized loops and small built-in
induction coils. It allows easy wireless access to public inductive
loop systems,(e.g. in cinemas, theaters, museums, etc). The wearer
can select between microphone and telecoil functions and can regulate
the volume. The TeleMic has very low energy consumption and is powered
by the TEMPO+ speech processor – no additional batteries are
required.
Microphone Test Device
The
Microphone Tester allows any hearing person to verify that sound
is being received by the TEMPO+ microphone. It is useful in families
with young TEMPO+ users, in clinical settings and in schools.
The MTD is operated with one AA battery (rechargeable or standard)
and features a volume control, self-test and indicator light for
battery status.
Activity Cover
The Activity Cover is designed to avoid inadvertent
adjustments to the TEMPO+ controls by very small children or by
adults during sporting activities. Made of soft, clear silicone,
the Activity Cover is worn with the straight battery pack or BabyBTE
(LINK) configuration. It is designed to protect the TEMPO+ from
moisture and impact and is form-fitted for easy application and
removal.
Audio Adapter Cables for the TEMPO+ Speech Processor
MED-EL offers a wide range of adapter cables for
use with FM systems, battery-operated devices, such as portable
CD players, and Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs). The TEMPO+
can be connected to such devices using either the Angled Battery
Pack or the Remote Battery Pack. Note that FM Systems generally
require cables designed for each specific system. More infomation
can be found in MED-EL's
FM guide.
Dino Clips
These fun and colorful clips were developed to prevent accidental
loss of the speech processor. A safety strap is fastened to the
TEMPO+, and the clip is attached to clothing. Binaural Dino Clips
with two straps are also available on request for bilateral recipients.
